Last nights Brit awards saw Dua Lipa scoop her first two Brits as she was announced as British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.

As the first winner of the night for British Female Solo Artist, collecting her prize she gave a pretty awesome speech.

Rather than focusing on herself, she dedicated her win to fellow female artists before her and “women taking over the world”, praising the women who have influenced, inspired and empowered others.

Talk about girl power.

She said: “I want to thank every single female who has been on this stage before me that has given girls like me – not just girls in the music industry, but girls in society – a place to be inspired by and [someone to] look up to and have allowed us to dream this big.”

“Thank you so so much. Here’s to more women on these stages, more women winning awards, and more women taking over the world,” she added.

Yes, Dua Lipa.

This came as many of the celebrity guests carried white roses in support of the Times Up campaign.
