Breasts, boobies, lady lumps; whatever you call them, when was the last time you properly gave them your attention? And we’re not even talking about checking for dimples and bumps.

Fortunately, one 23-year-old blogger is trying to change that, getting you ladies to celebrate your breasts – whether they’re petite, ample, perky or low-hanging. Chidera Eggerue regularly showcases her pair and has started the #SaggyBoobsMatter movement to encourage you to do the same (and no, you don’t need to get naked to participate).

Eggerue’s campaign is based on personal experiences and she hopes that by sharing her stories of body-shaming, frustrating bra shopping trips and the decision to have a boob job (which she later talked herself out of), she’ll give other women more confidence to love their own breasts and bodies.

‘Due to under-representation of saggy-looking boobs in the media, we are all taught that there’s only one way to be beautiful and that includes having super perky books,’ says Eggerue on her website, theslumflower.com. ‘If I had seen women with saggy boobs being glorified for their beauty, I wouldn’t have developed a complex as a very young teenager… By force, we will all learn that the only way to normalise something is to see it repeatedly.’

Eggerue also highlights the important role that boobs have to play in everyone’s life: ‘If you have an issue with saggy boobs, ask your mum why her boobs, that she most likely fed you on, are saggy.’

So, whatever yours look like, embrace them and enjoy them. It’s not only saggy boobs that matter, but all boobs, after all.
